There must be as many mince pie receipes as there are actual mince pies....

We have a customer who loves, loves , loves mince pies... she eats them all year round.... when ever we visit her we take her a different mince pie receipe....however we have yet to discover mince pie nirvana...for her, however along the way we've stumbled across some pretty fanatsic  mince pies.

Everyone likes them in a certain way... all butter, puff pastry, warm, cold, with nuts, with meringue, with a star on top with marzipan.... the list goes on & on...

Personally I like them buttery as can be with a cute little hole in the middle of the top, sprinkled with sugar, just slightly warm to the touch.  If there is a little bit of proper custard available then all the better... (warm of course)
